e1ace is right, he refused to shake his hand because Parreira said France shouldn't have been qualified. Which is correct, and regardless that doesn't make Domenech less of a douche, but it's important to get the reasons right when you're reporting a story...Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
Speaking of getting the reasons right, can you actually find a record of Parreira saying that? Lot of accusations flying around, but the man himself denies it and as far as I can tell no-one has dug up an actual quote.
Show 1 ReplyKind of hard to dig up indeed. I found an article posted by an Indian site on December 5th that seems to quote Parreira correctly:

Asked at a press conference on Saturday whether he thought France would struggle to recover from the controversy, Parreira said he did not think so.
'When it comes to the moment of truth and the actual game is kicked off, players will have forgotten about Henry. It was shameful and France would not be in World Cup but for that goal,' he said.
'But if there is one good thing that comes out of this whole situation, it is that FIFA has said they will look into the question of referees and technology.
'Before they always said that it would not happen, now they are considering it. The whole world was asking for it to be introduced and now there is that possibility.
'The Henry incident was a starting point and that is a good thing,' Parreira said.
... So if that's really all he said, which is basically stating the facts, then Domenech is an even bigger douche.
