Let me rephrase it for you. According to Tylor Liles, this will be the fifth case somebody is going to report profit to the Tax collecting service of their respectful governments. All others (1000s) either claimed loss or went mute.
It's generally 25% of the payout that goes in your account.
Almost every State has the "windfall" or "unearned" income tax to snag you if you win, except Washington iirc. Lottery winners aren't a big demographic for politicians to worry about.
