When a kid hears all the bad things marijuana will do to them and then tries it for some reason or another and learns that they weren't true... Why would they believe the "dangers" of other drugs.
Did you read the article? It was a contaminated needle or drug stash that caused the infection, not the drug itself. Injecting any drug subjects the user to this risk.
