We need to stop prostitution. From now on, we'll ask hotels to gaurentee that none of their visitors are paying an escort for sex, and if they do, then the hotel will be liable.

We need to stop domestic violence. Since it can (and often does) happen in a rented apartment, we'll ask the landlords to fix it... and if they don't, then they are liable.

We need to stop shoplifting!!! From now on, if someone shoplifts while visiting a particular store, we'll hold the store repsonsible.

We need to stop the sale of stolen goods. From now on, if stolen goods are being offered for sale from any pawn shop (despite that pawn shop having done some due diligence) we'll hold the pawn shop liable for the theft.

If banks stopped allowing the general public to come inside and make transactions, there would be less bank robberies... but if there were a bank robbery, the bank should be liable for having let the robber onto its site in the first place.

Many crimes are committed using rented cars. The car rental companies need to figure out who is using their vehicles for illegal means, and not let them rent one. But if they do, then Hertz should be liable for their crimes.

When it comes to online piracy, it seems that the real culprit are the power companies that supply electricity to every would-be criminal that uses their services to steal copyrighted work. The power companies need to take responsiblitily for the services they provide and limit electricity to only those people who use it lawfully.

We should be able to block the roadways and bridges that criminals use to transport stolen goods, without any real consideration for how those roads may affect other lawful traffic across this country's highways... and we should do it because if those roadways and bridges are blocked, then criminals will not be able to transport stolen goods at all.

If they use other roads or bridges, we'll just block those off too.

If a roadway is found to have been used for such purposes, we'll make the construction company who built it liable.
