I sold some stuff on Ebay last month,I was paid through PayPal an told by PayPal to ship the item only to find out that PayPal was holding the money for 20 days and expected me
to fork over the money to ship the item.....I have been an ebay member for over 10 years
and have a 100 % rating.....They can f**k off.
Yes....They are one in the same..I called paypal about this and they blamed ebay and after a half of an hour they connected me up with ebay who blamed paypal and after a half of an hour wanted to connect me with paypal. Ebay Owns Paypal
Unless you are a "Hunch" user, those numbers dont even apply to you or any other non Hunch user. The whole graph is a poll of Hunch users about the Ebay use. My guess is that most of the 313 people who Dugg this story werent Hunch users either.
Not necessarily true. In the same way that each of the statistics says X% more likely and Y% less likely, Hunch use may or may not be statistically significant for each of the other questions.
The premise of Hunch's business is that Hunch use is not significantly correlated with the rest of the data - otherwise they would only be able to make observations about Hunch users as you suggest.
I have sold and bought things on ebay in the past. I still once in awhile buy things on it. I don't sell things anymore. I used to sell art stuff, like clay sculptures.

I stopped selling and buying on ebay due to their ever increasing fees and disdain for the small seller. Don't even get me going about PayPal !

"an ebay user is 14% likely to spend more money". What could that possibly mean?
ultramagnus0001Feb 10, 2012Buried

Wow, a long dormant spam account becomes active again. Did all your other accounts get banned already?

It had to match the ebay logo, duhhhh
nvk289Feb 10, 2012Buried
Does this mean you are 86% likely to spend the same or less money? If so, big deal. I agree these stats are not very meaningful.
