Indeed. Many reddit stories have "magically" vanished off the front page. But there is no bury button in sight, is there? Well, except the one @digg itself.
I dunno, the reddit domination is better than the mass media and Leo Laporte crap that have been shoved down our throats for days.
That may be the biggest problem with the new digg, it is not user submitted, but crap fed into digg from other sites. It completely changed the entire feel of digg. It went from our site to some corporate promotion site.
It is not a big deal for digg.com for they want more ad dollars, but digg users get the shaft. There is now little worth finding on digg for me. The whole reason I liked digg is gone.
The bury button is not that big a deal, we should see more variety of stories on the front page. Simply for me, too many of the stories do not hold my interest.
There's no way that two non-reddit articles made it organically to the front page. The mods have moved on from removing reddit articles, to banning them outright.
I've got to say, me and lots of people on here have always given Reddit a hard time, mainly because I simply thought Digg was better. It's not that Reddit was a bad site, Digg had the same content, I just preferred Digg.
But I can now say that Digg is purely... s**t. All the features I like such as being able to see your comments has been taken away, and replaced with "followers" and corporate spam. After a few days of this, I've now realised that Reddit is pretty similar to the old Digg. Hopefully we'll send a message, I'd hate to see one of my favourite websites die... but if it comes to it, I might have to remove that Digg bookmark and replace it with a Reddit one.
I don't want my friends to see what I look at on Digg. I don't want to know what my friends are looking at on Digg. I don't want to link this account to my Facebook account, Twitter account, or anything else. This is not a social media. I don't want to filter the news to get certain sources. I certainly don't want to be spoon fed by corporate news organs telling me what they think is important. I don't even visit any of the sites that are signed up now. I want random anonymous (to me) people to do it for me. That is how I end up reading things I would not have chosen had I relied on my own sources or friends. This is not Facebook. This is aping a different product. I mean, really, how many of you have "friends" on Digg? Friends that you know on social media sites? Other than power users and journalists, that is.

Someone on Reddit should submit this article to Reddit, then submit the Reddit article to Digg, and frontpage it.

The revolution may not be televised, but it will be dugg.
Kevin, if you want to look out your window, there's a mob with torches and pitchforks who'd like to have a word with you.
