It's garbage. The navigation is a lot worse, who knows where the subcategories are, you can't follow your friends as easily, commenting looks stupid now and it's harder to find your friends' comments, etc. Even if they fix the bugs, it's still worse than it was before.
The person who designed and/or suggested the design for this new DIGG should probably be fired.
1. Getting rid of the thumbs up/down iconography and replacing it with arrows is utter brand awareness FAILURE. The "thumbs up" icon has become syonimous with DIGG and still exists on every "DIGG THIS" button on every 3rd party website everywhere. This is like McDonalds trashing their own golden arches and deciding to just use a plain "M"
2. Why so buggy? This isn't a complicated website. It is basically just an automated newsharing blog. You can't code a blogsite? Or actually TEST IT FIRST?
3. Text is too small. The text in the comment reply box is so light blue it is practically invisible. Yuck
4. Killing the bury button is beyond shortsighted. Folks love to "bury" just as much as they love to "digg." Such misunderstanding of your own site and its users. Baffling.
Stop trying to make digg "better." Someone seriously dun goofed up.
I tried to send this letter as feed back but i was told that i was not allowed to send more than 50 messages per hour? f**k YOU NEW DIGG GIVE ME DIGG CLASSIC!
Dear Kevin Rose,
Wtf are you thinking bro? I thought you were 733t and s**t. The new digg kind of sucks dawg. Where are the pages at? "more stories?" Here is an example of when I would use the "pages feature": "yo dude i saw the sickest f**king s**t on digg today about the ocean and some crazy ass animals." "oh yea dude whats the story called" " I dont know dude its on page 3" This is a real conversation I've had many times.
and dude.
whats up with all the lines bro? It used to be that storys didn't look like ads bro, fix that s**t.
and hey.
There is a whole lot of other s**t wrong too.
Burys? THE f**kING THUMBS BRO? the thumbs were cool as the other side of the pillow. Unlike the new digg.
ps
Where are the up and coming stories dude. that rocked.
and the bugs
they suck
Pull your head out of your ass. Design changes are always inevitable but it only works when s**t gets better...it got worse...
you suck cox

I agree entirely. The new design for Digg is a complete mess. I can't believe they were actually switching to this... Not only that, but we're not able to send feedback about the change because it gives a "You can't send more than 50 messages per hour" error even if you've never sent one.
I won't be remaining on Digg if this change is finalized.
i couldn't care less about "my news" or "my friends bla". i came to digg.com to see the digg community's news. i don't want to subscribe to anything. i've been visiting digg.com for the last years at least three or four times a day and always found interesting new stories without having to do all that crap. now, the digg.com frontpage is an emtpy, big mess. i have to klick on "top news" to actually see anything. after clicking on a story, i have to click another time to actually see any comments. that's at least three clicks more than i needed before. and it sucks. the old digg.com was simple, unique, it was self-explenatory. now i can't even find the upcoming stories and i feel like i'm on a strange facebook-twitter hybrid. however, i hate twitter and i don't need more than one facebook.
A) No thumb. Bad
B) Clicked "Arrow up" and Oops, got an error. Bad.
C) Clicked link to report it. Oops, got an error. Bad
D) Clicked link to report THAT. Oops, not found. BAD
1) Can't check upcoming stories
2) Can't review my comments without clicking on each article individually.
3) Constant errors.
4) Constant requests to "log in" when I am already logged in.
5) Give it a 50/50 shot AT BEST that this comment will even post.....
5A) It didn't until 2nd try. "unable to complete request please refresh" REALLY BAD
So far, this really sucks and I DO NOT like it.
I've been to Reddit once a year or so ago. Stayed with Digg because it was superior. I am revisiting that conclusion.
It is broke. Plain and simple. It won't load stories, it wont save diggs, it wont save comments. Who knows what the hell happened to my apostrophes?
Let me know when it if fixed because I doubt that this comment will even save and I don't need this level of frustration with my work distractions.
edit: It saved but when recording my digg it went from 46 to 44, it says it is dugg then I get the red error saving this digg, please try again. Wonderful.

Arrows are lame and generic, the thumbs were something you could always recognize as being on digg.

Where's the "up and coming" stories that were on the old Digg front page? That was my favorite part of Digg.

If I wanted to use Twitter, I'd f**king use TWITTER.
If I wanted to use Facebook, I'd f**king use FACEBOOK.
I come to digg to get news. Instead I get some s**tty bastard retard dumpster baby of Twitter and Facebook.
shadowman99Aug 25, 2010Buried
Where's the flood of front page stories about how the new digg sucks? There should be a 5000+ story by now. Everything is broken.
