while watching the video i was like, it's cool but is that really necessary? then i looked up at my browser and realized i have a total of 15 tabs open (in two browsers--chrome and opera) that have aggregated over the course of two days.
in short, yes, i think tab management is necessary =) good looking out mozilla
Porn browsing mode needs to set up a "only play sound from the currently active tab" option, and somehow implement a "disable video autoplay when a tab is opened in the background" option.
"So as you can see I'm just going to drag this window here... Now I'll label it 'urine, celery & fire' and... All my extreme fetishes in one group. Simple & easy to remember."
When I read Digg I generally open every interesting looking link from the first page all at once in new tabs, then from the Digg article page open the actual link and finally work my way through them. I think this is much more efficient than opening a link, then navigating back to the comment page if I want to see comments, then back to the homepage to find the next link I want to click. Just with Digg I can easily get 10+ tabs open quickly and it's very useful.

I'm convinced that porn drives the majority of new innovations in internet technology.

You seem happy and well-adjusted. Your opinion therefore carries a lot of weight.

Just sayin... Not that I would know, or anything.

Is it just me or does this just sound like glorified bookmarks, only temporary?
steverrificJul 24, 2010Buried
I just pull the tab out of my browser, making it a separate window, and launch my new tabs from there. Now they're separate. Problem solved.

wow, the "save for later" feature is exactly what I need.
Can't wait to see this released.

No. That's silly.

Go back to youtube.

See, you really should have started with that level-headed recommendation. Much more pleasant and digg-worthy.
opiticaJul 24, 2010Buried
until you've saved so many for later that it's just your new unorganized bookmarks folder

Insanity aside, tree style tabs is worth checking out if you find you often have more than 20 tabs open.
