Never give your password to anyone. This includes other websites.
Seriously! I'm amazed sites like Facebook and Twitter have the gall to ask you for login credentials from other sites. One of the most important rules in computer security is to NEVER share logins between sites! Ever!
I use the tinfoil for facebook app on my android, clear cookies every time the browser closes and have so far have avoided cross linking any sites. Doubt if that's enough....
they all do, and it is all leaking (or will be leaking) one way or another, one day or another. Letting all these joined logins to all sorts of accounts, all intermixed is just plain ridiculous and is a VERY serious personal security concern.
I'm not surprised. They are all watching us and trying to force us all to use the internet for EVERYTHING they can put in our 'files'. Use your search box in ur browser and I see no difference. Google says it will pay you to track you but if u refuse, they do it anyway. Isn't this the end of the world scenario written of long ago? I've noticed that alot of tragedies and disasters happening are following book and story lines....now who would do THAT?

Does this surprise anyone?
Facebook does it. Apple apps (did) it. Android apps do it.

Every time I've used another site, or app, to post to Facebook or Twitter it was done using tokens; Facebook never got my login credentials.

If you have an android cell, add the 3G Watchdog app. You'll see why
flarn2006Feb 16, 2012Buried
I'm using that already. But why is this relevant?
jpurdyFeb 17, 2012Buried
It may not be relevant to twitter, sorry if it's inappropriate, but I've been surprised at app usage alerts when I wasn't using the cell.
rraniadaFeb 16, 2012Buried
Doesn't surprise me...
