This is what I've been saying re: anonymous. The BPD is correct in this. Shutting down a website for an organisation that uses brute force as the quintessential essence of what it does is meaningless and just digital graffiti. Unlike real graffiti it doesn't cost much to fix and once you do there is little meaningful trace.

I'm not saying I agree with how the police operate, what I am saying is doing things like knocking down their website, what does it accomplish, except to give the powers that be cover to enact more draconian laws against the Internet.

If you want to change things, use the Internet to communicate and organise and vote for people who truly represent you and will take on the unjust parts of our system.

This is real and true and the SOPA boycott is a great example of what we can really accomplish. These lame ass hacks are just that.

Sorry if it makes you feel good to think that anon makes some kind of difference, but it just not the f**king truth...

A temporary defacement, what a frightening "retaliation"...

Isn't the defacement normally the cover for an actual intrusion? I seem to remember that from the last couple takedowns. I wonder when we'll be seeing "confidential" BPD Email and files on the web.

Yes I'm sure the BPD is extremely frightened that they might take down their public website again. Or maybe they just want them to try again to see if they can sniff them out of their hidey holes

On a PUBLIC WEB SERVER? You clearly don't get how this works. It's adorable that you actually believe there's valuable and embarrassing data stored on a hosting site's web server farm.

You mean the last couple public web servers Anon defaced to cover data intrusions, incidents that have been widely publicized in the news? I never said the data was on the web server. Maybe you should learn to read before trying to read the minds of strangers over the internet? Or maybe you could phrase your ignorance in the form of an answer to the question I asked? Oh, wait. I get it, you're one of those troll things I read so much about.

The police did not use the video to laugh in Anonymous face. It was just return propaganda. The police officer who can't sleep because their site was down for a bit, really?

Wow you yet another person who over estimates the ability of anonymous. What will they do next? Identity theft? Flood yet another web server? Oh noze!!!!

I'm not overestimating anything. It's not like I support Anon, I'm saying don't whack the bees nest. If you don't think Anon has power then google Aaron Barr. He's one of many examnples. Just because they didn't go hard on the department doesn't mean they can't.

Boston Police ( which are so retarded that one of them cannot even speak English ) try to laugh at Anon...because how can a mentally challenged person that beats people on the streets understand the significance of a symbolic action? Something tells me that we'll see some emails online soon =))))
