All this stuff about glass backs being "wrong" because they can be scratched is such nonsense. Plastic scratches too. So does aluminum. Both probably as readily as glass.
Ummm, yeah, if you knew about glass, you would know that it's prone to breaking on scratch lines. As a matter of fact, that is how glass is cut. A worker etches a scribe mark along the break-line (that would be a scratch), and then the glass is flexed, and it breaks on the mark... even a scratch of minor depth will do. So having glass backs that are prone to scratches is not "nonsense".
I'd consider one, but chances that I buy one are slim. The actual sales numbers are more telling.. Android outselling iPhone 2 to 1 in the third quarter of 2010, expected to do even better this quarter.

No problem:slide iPhone in another way.
Alarm problem: wake up another way.
Antenna: hold your iPhone another way.

It's tough to make a case that won't scratch, dirt has a way of getting into everything

That is why you get a case. Any product will always be "fine, still in excellent condition" until something happens to it.
THAT IS WHY PEOPLE GET CASES. For PROTECTION.

This new is so old! Ryan Block of GDGT broke this a good month ago in a blog post and on This Week in Tech. Old news, really old news.

I never got health insurance. I'm fine, still in excellent condition, just gotta be careful not to get sick or hurt.

You don't know much about glass, do you?
elitematchNov 10, 2010Buried
They protect them most of the times, a lot of guys around have them.

What exactly is the connection between a scratched glass iPhone and treehugging?
