I read the news and wonder what the hell is wrong with people on this planet, then I see someone do this and get a little hope there are a few good ones left out there.
It makes me so happy when people do little things like that. Such a larger return for a small investment.
The other day someone in front of us at the Narrows Bridge paid our toll. It only saved us $4.00, but the joy we found in knowing that simple human kindness still exists, was worth so much more! That guy made our day for the cost of a foo-foo coffee.
I almost can't wait to cross that bridge again just to pay it forward!
Reminds me of a country song, "Chain of Love". Especially this part, which I think went like this: "You don't owe me a thing, I've been there too. Someone once helped me like I am to you. If you want to pay me back, here's what you do: Don't let the chain of love end with you."
It feels great for the giver. I've done this most recently for a guy obviously shopping for the cheapest meal on the menu. I paid for my meal and anonymously for his.

When I have a job that pays well, I try to do this a couple of times a month. Sadly, it's been a while since I can do this.

That is downright honorable, and gives me back a little faith in humanity

I became such a pansy the moment I became a parent, so maybe that's why this actually almost brought a tear to my face.

Or mad that he acts like an ass and nobody ever give him the time of day because of it.

This was somewhat touching. You know, maybe there is still hope for humanity.
