Thank god somebody else said this...Anyone remember the Steelers and the Seahawks a few years back? I watched that with Steelers fans who agreed the reffing was crap.

This super bowl sucked. Arizona's defense stunk it up, pittsburgh's d played average, and ben rothlisberger is just lucky.

I don't know why bubbadigg^ is getting buried so perhaps I'll just try to explain it better even though I think that was good enough. When it comes to plays in the final 2 minutes of a half, every play already IS reviewed by a replay official. The game is only stopped by said official when he feels that he needs more time to determine a controversial call.In this case, that replay official had already determined that the play was correctly ruled a fumble (see Washington Post link below), so there was no need to stop the game and turn one of the most exciting Super Bowl finishes ever into one of the most anti-climactic ones.<a class="user" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/02/AR2009020202809.html&quot;&gt;http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ...</a>The reason the play is a fumble is because Warner did not have control of the ball as his arm was moving forward; sure, he was still touching the ball and it was still moving forward, but he had no control over the ball which is necessary when determining forward pass vs fumble.

To everyone saying there should have been a booth review:THERE WAS. The replay official reviews every play in the last 2 minutes of a half. They only stop the game if they need more time to look at it. This was clearly a fumble... so there was no need to drag out the end of the game.<a class="user" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/02/AR2009020202809.html&quot;&gt;http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ...</a>

finally a level headed cards fan. everyone else just seemed to get caught up in the moment and the cheating accusations started flying, when honestly there were bad calls both ways. cardinals played a heck of a game. it's starting to get annoying how the nfl is abusing it's replay power. great game cardinals, i have a heck of a lot of respect for warner ,fitzgerald and the rest of them now.
