I thought it was chapstick and was like "How the f**k will that make me Canadian?"
Then I realized it was breath spray and everything made complete sense.
"In your mind, you'll see the snow capped mountains of Saskatchewan, you'll hear the rushing streams of Edmonton, you'll smell the pungent moose droppings of Manitoba."
There's no mountains in Saskatchewan, there's no streams near Edmonton (except for one large river), and there's no moose anywhere near Manitoba (just really, really big mosquitoes).
Regardless... this Canuck thinks this is hilarious!
According to the 2004 CCHS, 23.1% of Canadians aged 18 or older, an estimated 5.5 million adults, had a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more, indicating that they were obese (Table 1) (see What is BMI?). This is significantly higher than estimates derived from self-reported data collected in 2003, which yield an obesity rate of 15.2% (see Methodology makes a difference). Another 8.6 million, or 36.1%, were overweight.
Among people who are obese, BMIs vary greatly. As a result, obesity is divided into three categories, with successive values representing escalating health risks. People in Class I (BMI 30.0 to 34.9) have a high risk of developing health problems. For those in Class II (BMI 35.0 to 39.9), the risk is very high, and in Class III (BMI 40 or more), extremely high. In 2004, 15.2% of Canadian adults had a BMI in Class I; 5.1% were in Class II, and 2.7%, in Class III (Table 1). http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/82-620-m/2005001/article/adults-adultes/8060-eng.htm
Well then, continue living in your idiotic little ignorance bubble, and the rest of us here will continue our lives.
You're a fool.
Face it, people like you give your country a terrible name, and are virtually the laughing stock of the planet.
I've got a lot of American friends and family, and they're cool, and a lot of the people on here and sensible, but people like you, man, you really make everyone there look bad. Now get up off your computer, and go put on some kind of head-to-toe American flag t-shirt or whatever it is you probably do.
Let me explain this to you: Because of NAFTA, we have a way to allow people from the US, Canada and Mexico to work in each others' countries.
Because Canada is a highly educated, English-fluent country, many people qualify under NAFTA to work in the US to fill our needs. Maybe if we had better and more accessible education, we'd fill these jobs ourselves. But NAFTA is mainly for specific skills, ones that Canadians have and can afford to spare.
Aside from that, because Canada has a generous, solvent and functional pension plan and a customary plan of saving money, many people retire and move south. In fact, "Freedom 55" is a popular term here for those who retire early before receiving their pension. People can afford to do it. They like to retire to Florida and Arizona, or just go there seasonally. Because they have money, they do it.
You see it as some sort of proof of our awesomeness. But it's not. It's an indictment on our consistent failure to educate our people and provide them with skills, as well as how Canadians provide themselves with a wonderful retirement. We should be thankful they spend their money here and loan us the skills we so desperately need...like say nurses and doctors in the health care system of the US you boast as being so awesome. Think wait times are bad? End NAFTA and exceptions for medical carers and see what happens.
Like I said before, you aren't as smart as you think you are. It's one thing to quote statistics, another to understand them.

I agree with you, except we do have moose in Manitoba; they're more prominent in the northern regions, but they're plentiful.
