there are some great points to this video. especially how people find happiness based on comparisons that they make of others. So I guess what he's saying is that we should quit comparing ourselves with others and truly figure out what makes us happy. interesting food for thought. . .
We all have a deep well of happiness inside ourselves. It's always there, all you have to do to tap into it is to quiet your mind.
Sadly, we've been very well conditioned by our culture to look outside of ourselves for happiness. We're bombarded every day with messages and advertisements telling us that we're miserable and that we'll find happiness in the next gadget, the perfect relationship, the funny movie, or whatever else someone wants to sell you. These may provide short amounts of pleasure, but deep happiness has to come from within.
mine too :) well for me it's biological, physiological, I discard it as being a mental state since no matter how you approach it, it remains uncontrollable :/
WTF? What is with these douches targeting suspected DP members? We get it...these people suck. But this is not helping. Lay off the pipe and go outside for a while.
Unless you become the target of some influential and powerful hate group. They can constantly turn those smiles upside down and make your life miserable.

Paradox. I now understand the world less. This makes me unhappy.

This isn't as it seems. We can't quit comparing ourselves to others, this is how humans live.
We compare ourselves and that's how we develop. That's how we know who we want to become. By comparing and finding what we like and don't like.
