Um, I have to provide proof of citizenship when I vote in Tennessee. Why should Arizona be any different. I mean it makes sense to me. You wanna vote? Provide proof that you are a citizen. Seems pretty simple.
What else would you expect from the most liberal appellate court in the nation. Both natural-born and naturalized citizens that obeyed the law are having their rights trampled by the CRIMINALS that cross our borders illegally and feed off of us like leeches.
Sorry but that's a load of bulls**t. You are essentially saying you much PAY to vote which is completely against what this country stands for and the constitution. Only CITIZENS have a right to vote in out elections plain and simple regardless of your tax paying status. Your thinking would prevent homeless and unemployed CITIZENS from voting.
I hope there is time to overturn this bulls**t call. The constitution clearly give the right to vote to CITIZENS of the United States of America not citizens of other nations. There is nothing wrong with this law. The fact that this court ruled this way implies they feel non-citizens should have a shot at voting in our elections.
You have to have a photo ID to drive a car, write a check, board an airplane, use a credit card, or rent an apartment. But for one of your most important acts as a citizen, in many states there is no verification that the person voting is actually who they say they are. It always shocks the hell out of me when I go to vote, and the only question they ask me is to verbally verify my address.
How easy would it be for me to commit fraud? All I have to do is find out how many of my friends are registered to vote but not planning to vote (probably a lot, in an off-year election), and make the rounds of the early voting centers. Even better if they are in the opposite party from me. All it takes is a group like ACORN to round people up on buses and go on a voting tour of the city, and no one would be the wiser.
We don't know how widespread the problem is because there's no way to measure it. But we do know that a helluva lot of monkey business goes on in elections, and there's a simple fix.
Maybe your parents should become legal citizens if they want something. Otherwise they are law breaking illegal immigrants. My brother in law had no problem going through the LEGAL steps to become a citizen.
Did you go through the proper procedures for entering the country? If not you have broken the law and thus are a criminal. Hence the term illegal immigrant.
So if you enter illegally, your morals are already proven poor.
Both of these things effect the outcome of an american election based on foreign influence. These things are not that different. You realize a US corporation could essentially by an election in a 3rd world country with pocket change without casting a single ballot?
you are an idiot. It's not about helping any particular political party gain or lose votes you moron. It's about making sure ALL citizens have their rights protected against morons like you who would like to only allow some citizens to vote to further some idiotic political ideology.
If they want to vote so bad go back down to Mexico and vote that corruption out, then won't have any reason to come up here anyways. Do jobs Americans won't do IN MEXICO!

No, there are non-citizens who pay taxes. Only American citizens should be allowed to vote in American elections.

Things must be strange where you live. Here in Minnesota we don't vote aloud, we vote quietly by making our choices on paper.

They are already funding campaign ads.

Yes, you're right. Non-citizens should not be allowed to vote in the elections of foreign countries. It's a ridiculous idea.

The most liberal court AND the most OVERTURNED court, actually.

One can only hope that holds true for this case as well.

a voters registration card requires proof of citizenship... just keep using the voters card.

Wow, we should just start allowing other countries to vote for our offices.
