Requesting that all those that oppose your view leave the country disregards the importance of political discourse and is the most un-American thing I've ever heard. This is not how the majority of Americans go about their day-to-day business, simply saying, "Get the hell out!" to anyone who disagrees with them; the rest of us have to act like adults and try to work with people.

Hey Allen, you're welcome for my service to this country. Oh, and by the way, I'm a progressive liberal.

No, they are killing the dream of collaboration that transcends political side-picking by making it about "lefty" and "righty" ...

The problem, as I see, is not that conservatives won't ride in the back of the car. It's that conservatives believe they should *always* be behind the wheel. They're always calling "shotgun" --even after they have had their license revoked for DUI and even after Americans have made it clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that they disapprove of their extremely reckless driving. Right wingers want their agenda front and center when they "win" by a sliver (as was the case in 2000) and they want "their America back" after they lose by a landslide (as they did in '08). In what bizarro parallel universe should an election that had to be decided by the SC be considered the will of the people and a "mandate" for change (such that you have the right to divert many trillions of dollars to the wealthy and to reconfigure the entire Persian Gulf region) but when Obama wins by many, many, millions--- that means it's time for a revolution? Seriously, what planet were some right wingers raised on where they learned they *always* get what they want (win or lose at the ballot box)?

Most Americans do not agree with tea party radicals like Allen West. That's not something I'm making up and I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just saying that all anyone needs to do is consider the tea party's image in America right now. Those views are radical and they are not shared by the vast majority of Americans.

if they could stop supporting the red states through federal taxes they could increase their state taxes by 20% without raising the tax burden and have the budget fixed.

btw, wasn't there a republican running the show there for the last decade or so? some movie guy...

Stockman rushes into the ring swinging like a boxer: "If there were such a thing as Chapter 11 for politicians, the Republican push to extend the unaffordable Bush tax cuts would amount to a bankruptcy filing. The nation's public debt ... will soon reach $18 trillion." It screams "out for austerity and sacrifice." But instead, the GOP insists "that the nation's wealthiest taxpayers be spared even a three-percentage-point rate increase."

In the past 40 years Republican ideology has gone from solid principles to hype and slogans. Stockman says: "Republicans used to believe that prosperity depended upon the regular balancing of accounts -- in government, in international trade, on the ledgers of central banks and in the financial affairs of private households and businesses too."

No more. Today there's a "new catechism" that's "little more than money printing and deficit finance, vulgar Keynesianism robed in the ideological vestments of the prosperous classes" making a mockery of GOP ideals. Worse, it has resulted in "serial financial bubbles and Wall Street depredations that have crippled our economy." Yes, GOP ideals backfired, crippling our economy.

Stockman's indictment warns that the Republican party's "new policy doctrines have caused four great deformations of the national economy, and modern Republicans have turned a blind eye to each one:"

"Africa is a country. In Libya, the Taliban reigns. Muslims are terrorists; most immigrants are criminal; all Occupy protesters are dirty. And women who feel sexually harassed -- well, they shouldn't make such a big deal about it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the US Republicans. Or rather, to the twisted world of what they call their presidential campaigns. For months now, they've been traipsing around the country with their traveling circus, from one debate to the next, one scandal to another, putting themselves forward for what's still the most powerful job in the world.

As it turns out, there are no limits to how far they will stoop.

It's true that on the road to the White House all sorts of things can happen, and usually do. No campaign can avoid its share of slip-ups, blunders and embarrassments. Yet this time around, it's just not that funny anymore. In fact, it's utterly horrifying.

It's horrifying because these eight so-called, would-be candidates are eagerly ruining not only their own reputations and that of their party, the party of Lincoln lore. Worse: They're ruining the reputation of the United States."

its just this simple. working together, pooling resouces, leveling the playing field... made us the best of the best. its powered the knowledge that we can literally do anything.

europeans have emulated us. we have wandered from the true path.

Let's see, because he tortured an innocent man trying to find information about a non-existent ambush, despite not being trained for interrogations?

That makes him a f**king patriot!?

How dare you, sir. Menacing innocent people in a war zone does not make a person a patriot. Allen West was relieved of his command because of a serious lapse in judgement. Disagree? Talk to his commanding officers who stripped him of his command in an Article 15.

Now he's an angry civilian grade A s**t disturber with a chip on his shoulder.

To many have psychological issues from their years in Iraq. This effects their lives and the way they speak and conduct themself in society. Mr. West seems to see some Americans as 'the enemy' ?

Could not agree more. Can't all the inbred, ignorant white trash idiots all move to Texas and secede once and for all?

God that would be amazing. Can you imagine all the great things we could accomplish for the country other than killing people and creating enemies? We could build schools instead of prisons, invest in America, instead of other counties, like the Republican-run companies selling us out do every day.

We could move into a forward thinking future instead of a backwards past. Please for the love of god, which I don't really believe in and they just pretend to do, secede teabaggers, secede!
