Give him a break, he's already passed two major bills through senate despite the intense opposition. He's had a crap inheritance when he was elected. You guys don't know how lucky we are to have a president like him.
"You guys don't know how lucky we are to have a president like him." No kidding.
And to call Obama a Fraud is hilarious when you look at what the Republican's put up as alternative in 08: a faux Maverick who struggled to keep up and a lunatic "hockey mom" that decides the best way to serve her state is to quite mid-term.
Yah, good point there people.
The problem is the legislation that got passed. Have you noticed health care getting any cheaper? Instead of working on cost, they worked on accessibility. Bad timing, because no one can afford it. The stimulus was just a pork thing and it's running out without making any changes to the economy. The middle class tax cuts didn't work because you don't create more jobs by buying imported goods. Now the tax cuts are running out for businesses, which actually do produce jobs, and the GDP is going into nose dive. Obama has constantly demonized big business, which accounts for a huge percentage of jobs in the US. Is that really a good idea? He advocates more regulations that make businesses in the US less competitive. The main part of job growth since he took office has been government jobs, increasing debt and calling into question our long term viability.
"never should have been elected"? Since when is an overwhelming win a "fraud"? The Republican party should do the country a favor and in an "immeasurable act of patriotism" actually participate in governing the country.
That would go quite a long ways towards fixing our problems.
What Obama should do and what Obama will do are two different things entirely. My money is on him doing more of the same stuff that has been done for the past 40 years that got us into this mess in the first place. Dont expect a man that will only be in office for a few years to have a long term vision. It aint gonna happen.
Open debate with republicans? That's all he tried to do for the first year and all they did was stone-wall him at every turn.
He needs to take a page from George Bush and say 'f**k it, I'm going to do what ever the hell I want!"
Obama press conference on Gulf Oil Spill in May 2010. In case you're confused we are in August 2010 now. I love the way Pubs just like to make stuff up.
"He could also start actually winding down the wars."
So all the reduction of troops in Iraq this year doesn't count as winding things down in Iraq? Afghanistan is a different story of course but you can't expect things to be easy when your predecessor creates such a mess and dumps it unfinished on the next guy.
No other single thing to criticize Obama for highlights the hypocrisy and out right lack of moral fiber of the right like the Obama vacation thing does.
It ties back into this argument I've heard conservatives make time and time again, which is that they can get crazy criticizing Obama because the liberals did it to Bush. Except what they miss is that A, Bush actually was a bad president as highlighted by his taking more vacation time then anyone.
and B, Many of the conservatives never criticized Bush the way liberals criticize Obama.
Their whole argument is rhetoric to justify their partisan religion.

He could hold a press conference and point at the camera.

@drmangrum
I don't think 26 days in a year is unreasonable. At my company I get a month vacation plus holidays.

Huh? He took 26 days of vacation in his first year. The article specifically says that includes his Christmas vacation.

No you're thinking of Bush who spent more than twice as much time on vacation. If you don't believe me see http://www.factcheck.org/2010/01/president-obamas-vacation-days/

Bush sucked ass as well. I am talking about just speaking about giving them a handout and just not doing it.
