Great story. I love rice. I have ever since I was knee high and my ancestry is German. My family thought I was kind of weird. The only rice they had was served with sugar and they didn't have it often. When I started cooking on my own, half my meals were with rice, mostly brown rice because it's healthier. I have it for fewer meals now because I found I also like beans, pasta, and potatoes.
