They'll put that status if there's any train derailment on the tracks, not just their train w/ the packages. It's essentially the same thing as a traffic jam.
One time I was using FedEx to get a package, and I live in New Jersey...here's how it went down:
1) Shipped from Tennesee
2) Arrived in Newark (I'm thinking to myself that I'll be getting this real soon)
3) Arrived in Anchorage, Alaska (I even called them to confirm this, but I didn't complain over the phone cause that's not my style)
4) Arrived back in Newark
5) I got my package.
A couple years ago I was waiting at a railroad crossing at night and a single car train (just the engine) rolled past completely engulfed in flames, then the guards went up as if nothing had happened.

It's not too bad, if you stay on track.

How appropriate, that a train rolling off the track is reported under "tracking results."
cyoriAug 23, 2010Buried
How do they report it when this happens?

Wonder if it derailed at the same spot as all the shipments we see with that same message.

I came for the ads. Commenting was an after-thought.
