The people who oppose gays getting married are the same people who opposed interracial marriage and women's suffrage and freeing slaves and every other stupid thing in the history of this nation.
In the Netherlands, marriage has been opened to gay and lesbian people (I don't talk about gay marriage because we *don't* have "gay marriage". We just have "marriage". The same law handles weddings between people of different sexes and people of the same sex) for even longer than that (since 2001) and there's also a complete lack of heavenly smiting or plagues. There has been no meltdown of society or chaos reigning as religious nutjobs would want you to believe. The frequency of straight people marrying has even *risen* since marriage has been opened to all couples regardless of orientation.
Yeah, that's right: "gay marriage" has resulted in *more* "straight marriage" than we had before.
the little rainbow canadian flag i thought was a nice touch.. it sorta implies canada is surrounded by gays; kinda funny i think.
anyways, i'm from toronto and about a dozen gay friends of mine, all males, have come out over the years. i can't say I'm for the occasional groping some of them try on me when drunk, but for the most part they are no different than anyone else and really should be treated just like anybody else. If america is truly the land of the free, grant this basic right and lose the bigotry.
The thing that has always struck me about the claims anti-equal marriage campaigners make is that they are making predictions based on no evidence except their own fear and paranoia.
As if that is any basis to deny any rights to someone.

Half of marriages in America ended up in divorces, I mean, what's the point? Alimony payments?

To you?
And we're supposed to care that you're embarrassed?

All in all Canada is no more and no less screwed up than it was before!!

What do you mean? It's normal to want to put your penis in another man's ass. ;)
jusjusFeb 10, 2012Buried
It's not gay if you don't push back.
LifeCoachLinEFeb 10, 2012Buried
And that is how it should be!! Marriage of consenting adults is no ones damn business but theirs!

Did I ask if you cared? It's a comment, not a response to someone's questions. That's why there's this handy comment block.

Who diggs this crap? Absolutely embarrassing.
