This is a very good infographic except for one small detail.
Americans do not visit a doctor nearly as much as the citizens of a country in the civilized world. This makes the exorbitant costs we bear even more alarming.

Of course we do - we are one of the few countries that allows insurance corporations to control medical care. That insurance is not "free market". It is set up so that the companies have specific agreed upon districts areas in which they offer insurance and other insurance companies have agreed not to provide service in the same districts thereby preventing any competition.
The only people who can afford care are the top income groups.
