My question is, where and what was the need to update the site so hasty without a trail-run to troubleshoot the site? I mean when a new Yahoo or MSN or Google design came out they gave their users the ability to test the new interface or to switch back to the old version. I'm not exactly sure what the new system is running as I'm no website designer. But, wouldn't it have made sense to have a massive amount of people to test it and then tweak it?

there will probably be a book called 100 things that went wrong during Digg V4 deployment, the worst internet catastrophy of the "0-10s"
Cause people are abandoning digg, and the only s**t showing up on the front page is sponsored pieces of crap, and self serving spammers... that's what happens when you piss off your user base, and they begin to loose interest.
