If you haven't read Halo: Fall of Reach, do yourself a favor and buy it. You don't even have to be a Halo fanboy, it's just damn good science fiction literature.
ODST was an expansion pack, poorly priced/marketed as a full game. It even has HALO 3 in the title. I thought for what it was, it was fantastic. What bothered you about it?
I think he's trying to say "I know this will go against a long-held hatred for Halo on Digg, and so I apologize for that, but this looks really cool." Which is kind of sad, because Halo *is* an amazing series, and gets much less love than it deserves here on Digg.
The 360's quality has been good for a while now. The Jasper chipset started in late 08, and now they're using Valhalla (both CPU and GPU on the same chip) with a big fan on top to suck the air out at a much quicker rate.
The air coming out is hotter, which is actually better for the system because it's getting pumped out quicker. And, its DVD Drive is finally quiet, its got Wifi, and a 250GB HDD.
Every time I go on steam I struggle to find any new games to play. Everything people play on the PC seems to be 5+ years old. I like a constant flow of new software, and PC gaming just doesn't seem to have that going for it anymore...
I hope that ship hasn't sailed. Neill said he poured his soul into Halo for 2 years until the studios fighting over money stopped the project. He said he didn't want to go back, lets hope he does.
I find it amazing that a game with such an awesome story can also have a series of books that are equally awesome.
For some reason a lot of people overlook the epic tale of the Halo trilogy (and now....trilogy plus additions). They focus so much on the stupid 13-year-olds online that they fail to understand what Halo is supposed to be.

My main source of gaming is definitely PC but I will always have a soft spot for Halo. Will be buying this for my 360.
