That would only be true if Saving Private Ryan simply rehashed the same half hour of plot over and over again. Because every f**king season of Entourage is the same exact plot, only with different details.
Without a doubt! If you've seen that much Entourage, so much happens to the characters in these later seasons, that not watching from here until it ends is like walking out on Saving Private Ryan after 30 minutes.
Ifthey are doing a movie, there won't be any closure.
I also doubt there will be much closure anyway. The next season is only going to be like 6-8 episodes they said. And based on their usual M.O. of furthering a seaso's plot by about 4 minutes per 30 minute episode, that means there will be less than a half hour of actual plot.
He is a bold prediction....Vince will turn things around with the help of Eric, and then will be stupid again and mess things up yet again. (Possibly by insisting that Billy Walsh be signed on a new movie and having it suck...never seen THAT one before!) Drama will be on the verge of success only to have some outside factor ruin it. Ari will claw his way back with his family and his career, only to have Adam Davies get in the way. And the show will make it perfectly clear every two minutes that every girl wants to f**k Vince.
I just saved you the trouble of watching the entire season.
Logged on to digg for the first time in a while to comment on this. There is a lot of hatred for Entourage going on in this thread of comments; the main gripe seems to be that every single season the exact same thing happens. I could not disagree more. I actually thing the show does an excellent job of keeping the story fresh every season.
Vince is in a different situation in every season.
1. Mildly successful, still can't land a big role. Does an Indy.
2. Still having trouble finding work, finally lands his first gigantic blockbuster type deal. A love interest almost ruins it for him, but he gets over it.
3. Megastar of biggest movie of all time. Only wants to do Medellin, which his studio doesn't want him to do. He quits the Aquaman sequel. He fires Ari and goes to Amanda. Amanda looks like she would be able to continue his success but Ari lures Vince back by promising Medellin. Vince buys Medellin.
4. They film Medellin. Vince has trouble getting work because people want to see Medellin first after his problems with the studio. Trailer leaks and creates hype, they agree to do a movie with Walsh again. Movie fails miserably at Cannes.
5. Vince is a nobody. Lives in Mexico like a hippy. Comes back and can't find work. Only role offered is Benji. Only gets offered Smoke jumpers because Dana owes Ari. He gets fired from Smoke Jumpers. Scorsese sees his footage from Jumpers and hires him as Gatsby based on that.
6.
6. Famous again. Not picky about movies for the first time, will do anything.
7. Tired of being called a pussy/high maitenance/etc... he starts acting like a bad boy. Does drugs, bangs pornstars, blows off meetings, and finally gets arrested.
I could go through the same list for every main character. It's all different every year.
Don't watch last season unless you want your ears to bleed due to a porn star who for some reason thinks she can act in mainstream when the reality is, she is one of the worst PORN stars in terms of the little "acting" they try to do in those movies. She is the epitome of the 70s/80s bad porn acting yet for some reason she (and Entourage) thinks she can act.
So...the show that has perfected the art of dragging about 45 minutes of storyline our over 12 half hour episodes every season wants to make a 100 minute movie ? I guess that would mean there will be about 12 minutes of plot?
I think the show sucks and I would not see the movie, It's all about BOARDWALK EMPIRE now. Also, I would watch the f**k out of a movie based on the THE WIRE.
Ha, true, but the first 30 mins of a movie often is just the most pleasant stuff, setting things up for a conflict and then climax, then resolution. I think we're at the conflict stage and this next (last) season will give us some closure.

I kinda liked last season. It was a little predictable toward the end, but I still liked it.

Well it's about damn time!

I'd probably go see it.. even though the show has mostly sucked in recent seasons.

This used to be one of my favorite shows, but stopped watching around season four... is it worth putting the rest of the series on Netflix?

Either that or I wasted a LOT of time.
