They did. The writers knew it. Actually, in "Gump Roast" (ep. 17 from season 13) there's a song that states "They'll never stop the Simpsons... Have no fears, we've got stories for years." One of the images depicted during the song was Homer on waterskis, jumping over a shark:
i loved the simpsons, what the heck happened though? they are not funny anymore. they try too hard to look like other shows. last good episode aired in end 2007. if you dont agree then show me a good episode after 2007
Oh, you've gotta be kidding me. The writers know it's not funny anymore. During the show's decline (at a con), they said that writing for the show is like mining for gold. If you mine long enough, it gets harder and harder to find gold.
Guess what? It's all mined out. There's no gold left.

I took that as the writers' public declaration that they've got nothing and they know it.

Yeah great pic but so sad :(
Saying Julian Assange is a bad guy is like saying people who outed Catholic priests sexually abusing young boys are bad guys!
We need whistle-blowers more than ever!!!

hmmm. i didnt get the point of him jumping a shark but take it as a single clip and it makes sense.

I for one, think Wikileaks is the greatest. But I also thinks Assange is a unrivaled egotist, rapist, douche-bag.

He seems to believe that if a woman consents to sex once, she cannot rescind this consent later.
