Put it on youtube or hulu,
The non canonical format would be great in the form of a web series,
It could also be syndicated to television depending on viewer reception.
Behold a post asking the question if certain sci-fi shows should be kept from going extinct. But upon reading the article we learn that they have been recorded on Blue Ray. Can the viewers distinguish between Blue Ray recordings, and prime time television? Or have they entered The Twilight Zone? ( exhales cigarette smoke).
I've seen the old "Twilight Zone", .the remade "Twilight Zone", "The Outer Limits", and "Night Gallery". Aside from a few classic episodes, I actually prefer "The Scary Door."
The thing about Twilight Zone that made it Iconic was Rod Serling's presence....his very appearance on the screen was enough to carry "Night Gallery" a decade later. I can't think of an actor, writer or director today who could grab you the way Serling did with his voice and dry wit.
The thing with Twilight Zone was that it intrigued, and left you to your imagination...that would be hard to do today, because everything has to be seen and spelled out and sexy.

Would love it if they did it and it was actually good. HBO or AMC could pull it off.

meh, I prefer The Outer Limits

Your comment proves you don't understand the genius of the original. The LAST thing a show like Twilight Zone needs is a big budget.

They've triedthis at least twice and failed miserably every times.

I don't think it could be as good with out Rod Serling.

True, no one could replace Rod Serling. But would love to see The Twilight Zone on again if they could do it justice.

I've been watching the entire series (all three incarnations) and got sick of all the mellow-drama and predictability.

This.

It's too bad that most shows that are brought back don't do very well

If it's got a good network behind it, do it. I don't want to see another PAX or the U version. Give it some budget....
