"racism certainly shouldn't be about left or right, it should be about equality. "
Which is why the Republicans are the upright party. They want equality.
Meanwhile, Democrats want literal, outright, in-your-face racism, in the form of "affirmative action."
Why do people act all surprised when they see an article from theonion. "OH look guys its from the onion, those zany people! I caught them just in time.".
Onion got me again... I was looking at this thinking "wow, they must be leaving out a ton of instances or only counting extreme racism," then, of course, I saw the source and it all made sense. 12 acts of racism per second, or per NY police officer would make more sense.
I don't legitimately see a comment that says racism only comes from black people...because that would intimate that institutional racism doesn't exist...that nearly all the people in the upper eschelons of business and government aren't white...that our first 'black' president didn't have to be half white to get elected...that people of color don't routinely receive less quality education from a system based on property taxes instead of something where everyone has equal access...or that people from all sorts of ethnicities aren't routinely stripped of their cultures and lumped together based on skin color then expected to embody certain negative traits...and nobody can be so blind as not to see all that...right?
Because sometimes people don't immediately look at the source, sometimes they read the headline and snippet to see whether it's worth caring about the source. Crazy, I know.
It's not "playing the race card" when it's true. It's just giving the facts. And racism certainly shouldn't be about left or right, it should be about equality.
But I digress, this is an Onion article. It's for the lulz.

In truth, the vast majority of racist attacks now are black-on-white.
