Mythbusters: The best 20-minute TV show ever surrounded by 20 minutes of Mr. Annoying Narrator Man and "if-you've-just-tuned-in-we're-going-to-cater-to-you-and-spend-five-minutes-recapping-the-whole-show" segments. Sometimes, when watching Mythbusters, I get the urge to put an episode through Final Cut and chop out all annoying bits just to see what I'd be left with and whether or not it's better.
Rant over, I'm excited to hear we've got seven more years! WOO.
What I dislike the most though, which you didn't mention, is the back and forth between myths. I'd much prefer a format where I get to watch a myth from start to end without going between them.
I've been kind of annoyed at them for the past several weeks. The TV grid says it's a new episode, but it's really just an old one with some new lower thirds added on and the name "Buster's Cuts" added to the title.
While I still enjoy watching MythBbusters, the show isn't what it once was. It's more so the style and presentation changes that irk me (such as teasing and pretty much giving the way the results early on in the episode). And, to be frank, Adam and Jamie >>>> Grant, Tory, or Kari.
And don't forget videogames. There's tons of cliches like exploding barrels and such that they could cover. Good to hear it's renewed though, the gang there is fun to watch.

Can they really come up with 7 more seasons of material? The last two or three seasons have consisted of blowing stuff up and rehashing old myths.

And?

Seven more years of Mythbusters. Well, at least there will be *something* good on TV.

"hey you guys are doing good, want to stay?, get a big pay check and blow stuff up"
could there be any other perfect job?

There's probably plenty of fodder in sci-fi and comic book movies to test out.

A very crappy episode of Mythbusters is still far better than the best episodes of Deadliest Catch.
dball48Jul 31, 2010Buried
Nobody expects them to play out the full 7 seasons, they just made the contract that long in order to circumvent the salary cap.
dhaturaJul 31, 2010Buried
Ice Cream Truckers would be better.
