I quit my last job about a decade ago. I'm not making millions, but I'm making about three times my previous salary and having more fun. That works for me.
"what about people that quit their jobs and ended up in poverty or failed their business like most people ?"
Worst case scenario; they have to go get another job and start saving for their next attempt. "Most people" never even try, which is much worse than trying and failing spectacularly.
I did, especially, when your boss as bad as Hitler. Then, when I became the boss I almost became like my old Hitler-boss...Realized I was becoming who I didn't want to be. Always Go for your dreams...
At least they tried! The most important thing is not to quit afterwards and keep trying! I've built a multi-million dollar business, lost everything, and then got it back!
Entrepreneurs have to also realize that they need to properly educate themselves before setting off on a huge venture. I mentor and coach entrepreneurs and business owners through my series called "WHIPshops".
The series that I'm holding this February 22nd is how to create strategic partnerships to build your team and lower your start up costs. If you know anybody in the Tampa Bay area who might be interested tell them to check this out... http://tammylevent.com/iwhipit.html
My dreams were crushed by my parents. "You can be anything you want......IF you go to college and get a degree in something you hate and have a job that ends up getting you so depressed that you will kill yourself/your family/us".

because....
An optimist may see a light where there is none,
but why must the pessimist always run to blow it out?
-Rene Descartes
on the other hand I am an optimist with experience,
that is why I am staying at my job surrounded by the walls of my cubicle/fears...

Very inspirational, but at the same time a bit misleading. It is not as simple as you think!

I guess it's all just about taking a risk. If you know what you're doing, then go for it and chase your dream.
