Why go to Digg, when you'll see it on Reditt first? I mean, there used to be a time when a Digg user could see the latest viral, cutting edge, independent news first...but that was in a galaxy far, far away....
Must add a word of respect for the individual who came forward. I called him 'sleazy power user' and that is not entirely fair. Although the activity may have been sleazy he did come forward about it, and denounced it, and this was a noble thing to do.
Good going, OP. I know Digg users aren't accustomed to actually reading content they click or link to, but c'mon. It says RIGHT IN THE TITLE of the Reddit post that he worked for a company that gamed Digg. He mentions several times in his replies to questions that he doesn't use Digg, merely worked for a company that bought voted from power users. Labeling him a "sleazy power user" is entirely inaccurate.
If you're honestly (legitimately) creating content which is important to you, your users, or your potential customers, you probably won't go wrong. With that said however, i knew there was a reason i avoided the image section of the old digg like the plague... and now that i've dugg - back to reddit.

Linking to reddit which itself links to reddit. A classy salvo if I've ever seen one.
PS: These comments suck.
