  I don't know why anyone (over the age of twelve) would be surprised by this. There was a time when "Conservative" meant something entirely different from what it means today. "Conservative" used to mean "smaller government" and "minimum interference in the private sector" and "decreased government spending". I still consider myself to be a Conservative Republican, although I haven't voted for a single Republican candidate in more than a decade. The "Republicans" that are currently running for office are a disgrace to what the party used to stand for. I hate to say it, because I absolutely cannot stand Digg's Paultard population, but Paul is the only REAL Republican currently running for President. The irony, of course, is that the Republican party keeps saying "Ron Paul isn't a Republican". Well, yeah, compared to the hideous travesty the party has become, he's not.

  Is he really Giuliani's advisor? Because Podheretz is ***** insane. A lot of people also think he shaped Bushes thinking about the middle-east. Thinks that Iran is like Nazi germany and that it is the duty of America to remove the new "hitler". He's the epitome of Zionism. He basically wants the US to cause Armageddon to allow the second coming of christ. He's a ***** lunatic.
